Multi-Family Tax Exemption (MFTE) Information
Prospective residents wishing to apply for an income/rent restricted unit in a project participating in the MFTE program, must apply and get income certified at the participating property. It is the responsibility of the property to income qualify prospective tenants for the program. Prospective tenants for the programs should:

- Inquire directly with properties you are interested in to find out about vacancies
- All households applying for MFTE must disclose all income sources and have income verified prior to signing a lease. Contact the property for any income certification status update requests
- The Office of Housing does not maintain an MFTE waitlist or actively track vacancies
